Today I wanted to talk a bit about how my style evolved. Recently, my style has changed quite drastically. I thought that it would be important to share why, and how it happened.
Here is a glimpse of my my style today:
Right now, my style usually consists of; neck scarves, colorful jackets, black mom jeans, and fun vintage earrings.
My clothes changed mainly because I stopped caring what people thought of me and the way I dressed. I think that my style for
a long time was purely based off of what I thought was "trendy" and whatever was sold in H&M and Topshop. But honestly, that wasn't me at all. I enjoy wearing crazy and outrageous things, that I get weird looks for. I like having fun with my fashion! Even looking back at my old blog posts, I can clearly see that I was trying hard to be whatever I thought "cool" was.
I started to shop at thrift stores, more often- and I must say, that going into a thrift store and not looking what is on a mannequin at Forever 21, is a breath of fresh air. I became heavily influenced by different decades, and by models from other eras.
Lastly, your style should represent how you feel and your personality- NOT KYLIE JENNER'S (hahaha- but really do whatever you feel). Anyways, dress how you want to dress, and try to stop caring what other people think of you... this is your time to shine! Also, being a teenager makes this much easier. This is the time of our lives to express ourselves in creative ways- and not be judged by society's input. BE YOURSELF!!
